Hospitality Bag Kitting
For the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City, Utah, Aspen Distribution was selected to be the provider to assemble hospitality bags for special guests and participants of the event. We created a high security zone in our warehouse to store the valuable gift products and clothing we received and an office area for the customer's staff to reside during the two month period that we received, assembled and ship the specialty bags. The bags were custom made with special gifts, colors and sizes for individual people. The bags had to be filled a particular way with the shirts, gloves, jackets, boots, pins and scarves, candies and hat to present an elegant rich appearance. The assembly process had to be precise and high quality. Aspen managed the inventory, assembly and delivery of the bags to all the various hotels in the area. Special transport was needed to unload at the hotel's small docks, in high traffic within a two week time frame. It was a fun, challenging and successful project that highlights Aspen's flexibility and commitment to excellence.
Variety Pack
Our customer was introducing a new product line of food in pouches. Aspen responded to their need for quality inspections during the first few months of production. We set up 300 people working around the clock to inspect all the product prior to packaging. The packaging lines we set up automatically filled the carton with a variety of pouches and overwrapped the cartons together. The initial production goal was met and exceeded within the first three months lowering the overall costs for our customer. Aspen's dedication, responsiveness and pursuit for continuous improvement made the project a successful launch.
SEC 14 Labeling
When our customer's customer requested all cases needing SEC 14 labels, Aspen was quick to respond to design, test and implement an efficient process to apply the labels to meet our customer's needs. Within a week, we had the label designed and approved and incorporated the application into our warehousing process. We have the systems, expertise and printers to manage all of your label needs.
